Forschungsinteressen

I am currently working on the gravitational two body problem, mainly focusing on the study of scattering problems using a formalism borrowed from quantum mechanics (amplitudes). The idea is to study scattering from the classical limit of quantum amplitudes and then relate this to the bound motion of two particles (say two black holes orbiting each other). This provides insights into the dynamics of particles influencing each other through gravity and may help develop waveforms at higher orders (in v/c) for astrophysical sources of gravitational waves.
