Forschungsinteressen

My research focuses on the analytic description of binary black-hole dynamics and their gravitational-wave signatures. I work in the post-Minkowskian regime, where the gravitational interaction is treated perturbatively in the gravitational coupling. This allows us to describe black holes at large separation and it is the ideal method to model scattering systems. Within this framework, I apply QFT methods to compute classical gravitational observables, with particular emphasis on the contributions of spin. I aim to provide deeper insight into the structure of the two-body problem in general relativity and to contribute to more accurate models of gravitational waves.

Vita

I am from Switzerland and did my bachelor’s and master’s degree in physics at ETH Zürich. After this, I did my PhD at the university of Zürich under the supervision of Lucio Mayer and Harald Ita. My PhD thesis is titled “From Scattering Amplitudes to Observables for Spinning Black Holes”. In November 2025, I began a joint postdoc position at Humboldt University and the AEI.
