Main Focus
My focus at AEI is to make the code fast, robust and maintainable, and the coding a pleasant journey for scientists. My currently work is on our EOB gravitational waveforms generation package, pySEOBNR, with the focus on integrating complex waveform models with low running time. I am developing tools for translating Mathematica expressions into Python/C++, and symbolic calculcus for optimizing the computation graph.

Curriculum Vitae
I received my M.Sc. from Telecom SudParis and my Ph.D. in Mathematical Morphology from Paris School of Mines in France respectively in 2000 and 2007. I worked in several software companies and in academic environments since.
Prior to my position at AEI, I was a machine learning engineer at Reasonal in Berlin (2020-2023), where I tackled all engineering aspects of product development (devs, deployment to cloud, specs) as well as machine learning itself (data pipelines, deep learning architectures).
From 2018 to 2020, I was software architect and senior manager at Pix4D (drone mapping company). Between 2014 and 2018, I was leading the “Software Workshop” at the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems in Tübingen, Germany. I worked as a computer vision research engineer at DxO (2007-2008, 2011-2013) and INRIA Paris-Rocquencourt (2008-2011).
