Main Focus

I am using methods from quantum field theory to derive results in classical general relativity with special focus on the two-body problem and gravitational-wave physics. Here, the post-Minkowskian expansion of the two-body problem may elegantly be derived from diagrammatic computations of amplitudes using e.g. the worldline quantum field theory formalism. Other research interests include black hole dynamics, effective field theory, self-force theory and Feynman loop integration.

Curriculum Vitae

I completed my BSc in physics at University of Copenhagen in 2018 and my MSc in theoretical physics at the Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen in 2020. In my MSc thesis I focused on how classical general relativity can be described by quantum field theory. From 2020 to 2023 I did my PhD at the Humboldt University of Berlin and the Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics in Potsdam under the supervision of Jan Plefka and Alessandra Buonanno. In my PhD thesis I focused on how gravitational scattering of compact bodies may be derived within the worldline quantum field theory formalism. Starting from September 2023, I am a Postdoctoral researcher at Humboldt University of Berlin in cooperation with Alessandra Buonanno's department at the Albert Einstein Institute in Potsdam.
