Main Focus

I am currently researching analytical inspiral-merger-ringdown models of gravitational waves. My focus then lies in accurately modelling matter effects and their imprints on the signals to search for neutron star mergers in the upcoming fourth observation run of the LIGO-Virgo-KAGRA detectors. I am particularly interested in inferring neutron star properties from those detection events.

Curriculum Vitae

2021 – 2022: Master’s Degree with honours in Physics at ETH Zurich, Switzerland with my thesis being a proof of general security for relativistic Quantum Key Distribution protocols we developed supervised by Professor Renato Renner, Dr. Ramona Wolf, Dr. V. Vilasini, and Martin Sandfuchs, and a semester project on exoplanet detection through gravitational waves via Dopper tracking of a NASA probe traveling to Uranus and/or Neptune supervised by Professor Lavinia Heisenberg, Deniz Soyuer, and Lorenz Zwick.

2017 – 2021: Bachelor’s Degree with honours in Physics at ETH Zurich, Switzerland with an exchange to Uppsala University, Sweden, where I performed a project on searching for a prompt atmospheric neutrino flux in data from the IceCube detector, supervised by Professor Olga Botner, Dr. Carlos Pérez de los Heros, and Dr. Erin O’Sullivan.

Since November 2022 I am a PhD student under the supervision of Professor Alessandra Buonanno in the Astrophysical and Cosmological Relativity department at the AEI.
