  • non-classical light sources (squeezed light at high free spectral ranges)
  • controls (including modern control, coherent control, classical control)
  • electronics (particularly in high-frequency large bandwidth photodetection)
  • precision metrology (particularly stable high-finesse optical resonators, gravitational wave detection)
  • laser physics (including laser stabilisation and non-linear optics)
