Main Focus

My research is mainly in alternative theories of gravity and their the strong-field regime. More specifically, I’m interested in scalar-tensor theories, violations of local Lorentz invariance, and superradiant instabilities driven by new fundamental fields. The main goal is the development of precision tests of such theories that will allow us to confront them with gravitational-wave observations. Those require understanding black hole solutions, the process of black hole formation through gravitational collapse, and eventually deriving gravitational-wave signatures. Those tasks require a combination of analytical and numerical techniques.

Curriculum Vitae

I completed my PhD in mathematical physics in 2019 at the University of Nottingham. During my graduate studies, I was supervised by Thomas Sotiriou and Jorma Louko and my work covered various aspects of black hole physics in alternative theories of gravity. I’ve been a postdoc at the AEI since April 2019.
