Main Focus

My main interests are quantum information aspects of holography. I am currently working on the notion of Complexity from the perspective of quantum field theory (QFT). In particular, how this quantity encodes information about quantum states which is inaccessible to other information measures, such as entanglement entropy. I also wish to understand the connection between this quantity, as defined in QFTs, the proposed dual gravitational quantities in the context of holography, and other Complexity measures such as the Path-Integral Complexity and the Liouville Action.

Apart from holography, I am interested in various aspects of General Relativity ranging from asymptotic symmetries to solution-generating algorithms.

For outreach, I manage our group's Twitter and YouTube accounts.

Curriculum Vitae

I obtained my B.Sc. degree in Physics at Mexico's National and Autonomous University (UNAM) in 2014. For my bachelor's thesis, I worked on various aspects of black hole solutions in Einstein-Maxwell theory in four dimensions. In 2015 I obtained my Master of Advanced Study (MASt) degree in Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics from the University of Cambridge. I wrote my Part III Essay on Lovelock theories of gravity, which are natural higher-curvature generalizations of Einstein's theory in higher number of dimensions. From 2015 to 2016 I worked as a research and teaching assistant at the Nuclear Sciences Institute (ICN) at UNAM, where I also carried out research on Weyl geometries. Since 2017 I am a PhD student in the Gravity, Quantum Fields and Information independent research group.
