Forschungsinteressen

My research focuses on wave-optics gravitational lensing of gravitational waves and its use as a probe of the small-scale distribution of dark matter. For next-generation gravitational-wave detectors such as LISA and the Einstein Telescope, wave-optics lensing may serve both as a discovery channel and as a source of systematic bias in analyses of compact-binary signals. I am particularly interested in numerical simulations of wave-optics phenomena and in developing weak-lensing formalisms for regimes where diffraction plays a central role.

Vita

I am from Korea. I received my B.S. and Ph.D. in Physics from Seoul National University in 2015 and 2021, respectively. My Ph.D. research focused on dark matter and gravitational waves. From 2021 to 2023, I was a postdoctoral research fellow at Seoul National University, and from 2023 to 2026, a senior researcher in the CTPU-CGA group at the Institute for Basic Science. In May 2026, I joined the Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics in Potsdam as a postdoc.
