My research is mainly focused on modelling gravitational waves from generic binary black holes systems. More specifically, I am interested in adding effects of eccentricity, i.e., objects in quasi-elliptical orbits, to current gravitational waveform models describing black holes in quasicircular orbits. The addition of eccentricity effects to the waveforms complicates the description of those signals due to the asymmetric radiation emission, and it also adds two more dimensions to the seven dimensional parameter space of a spinning quasicircular binary black hole system complicating their modelling. Thus, the combination of numerical techniques, like numerical relativity, and analytical techniques like EOB and PN, are required to understand the phenomenology of the eccentric binaries and develop faithful enough waveform models, which could be used by LIGO and Virgo to detect and estimate the parameters from such systems.

Vita
I studied the Physics degree in the University of the Balearic Islands from 2011-2015. After that I completed a Masters in Theoretical Physics at the University Complutense in Madrid from 2015-2016. Under the supervision of Prof. Sascha Husa back in the University of the Balearic Islands, I completed a PhD thesis titled 'Gravitational waves from generic binary black holes: From numerical simulations to observational results', graduating in 2020. In September 2020 I joined the AEI.
