Main Focus

Search for continuous gravitational wave (CW) emission from neutron stars from the galactic centre.

Due to the lack of knowledge of the exact CW emission parameters, large parameter spaces need to be searched with fine search grids, requiring enormous computation power and producing large data sets.
Promising candidates which may represent the sought-after signal must be filtered from a pool of many billions of candidates.
This requires a careful analysis and multi-step procedures to iteratively reduce the pool size and hopefully arrive at high confidence signal candidates in the end.
