Lorenzo SperiPhD Student
I completed my BSc of physics at the University of Trento in 2018, under the supervision of prof. Bruno Giacomazzo. My bachelor thesis project focused on the analysis of gravitational waves from numerical simulations of compact binaries produced with the EinsteinToolkit. https://github.com/lorenzsp/thesis
Since October 2018, I am a master student in Theoretical Physics at the University of Heidelberg, where I carried out a short research project in Cosmology with prof. Matthias Bartelmann.
In October 2019, I moved to the Max Planck for Gravitational Physics to work on my master thesis under the supervision of Jonathan Gair and Matthias Bartelmann. The goal of my project is to study how transient resonances of EMRIs affect the gravitational wave signals and their detectability with LISA.
