“The Theory of Everything” tells the story of world-renowned physicist Stephen Hawking’s early years of research at Cambridge, the onset of his illness, and, above all, his love for his wife Jane, who supported him in his battle against the disease and in his research. The film is based on Jane Hawking’s memoirs. Introduction: Prof. Dr. Bruce Allen, a former PhD student under Stephen Hawking and now a professor at the Institute for Gravitational Physics as well as director at the Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics (Albert Einstein Institute)
