What have we learned about the universe since 2015 through gravitational waves?
Ten years ago, a new era of astronomy began. Since then, we have been observing the universe in a whole new way: with gravitational waves. Using a global network of kilometer-long detectors, an international research community regularly “eavesdrops” on collisions between black holes and neutron stars. This talks explains how these observations work, what we are learning about these celestial objects and the universe, and what the future holds.
