LISA will observe gravitational waves in space with contributions from Hanover.
The Laser Interferometer Space Antenna (LISA) will be the largest observatory ever built by humankind. Spanning over 2.5 million kilometers, this triangle of laser light formed by satellites launched in the mid-2030s will revolutionize our view of the Universe. This talk explains how LISA works, how it differs from detectors on Earth, and which cosmic objects and processes LISA will observe.
