Ph.D. Position in Quantum Cosmology

We invite applications for a doctoral position in the theoretical cosmology group at the Max-Planck-Institute for Gravitational Physics (Albert-Einstein-Institute) in Potsdam. The position will be in the subject of quantum cosmology, within the research project associated with the ERC Consolidator Grant "Qosmology" led by Jean-Luc Lehners. The research topics of the group are: early universe cosmology, inflation and ekpyrosis, semi-classical gravity, theories of initial conditions, classical and quantum bounces and connections between cosmology and fundamental physics.
The position is intended for a period of three years, with the same specifics as for Ph.D. positions in the IMPRS doctoral programme, see https://www.imprs-gcq.aei.mpg.de. The preferred starting date is September 1st 2019. Remuneration and benefits will be in accordance with the rules of the Max Planck Society.
