Archive of previous spring schools

Since 1999, the Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics (Albert Einstein Institute/AEI) has organized an annual two-week vacation course in gravitational physics. During this course, Jürgen Ehlers (1929 – 2008), one of the AEI’s founding directors, lectured on 'Introduction to General Relativity' from 1999 to 2005. In 2009, the course was renamed the 'Jürgen Ehlers Spring School' (JESS) in his honor.

Due to the pandemic, the school did not take place from 2020 to 2023.
