The Institute for Gravitational Physics of the Leibniz University Hannover works closely with
the Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics (Albert Einstein Institute). Both play a decisive role
in the development of the gravitational wave astronomy. Construction, operation and further development of the
gravitational wave detector GEO600 as well as the preparation of the satellite mission LISA require research
in laser physics, quantum optics, control electronic and gravitational physics. The Albert Einstein Institute educate young
researchers in these fields.
