Quantum Interferometry and squeezed light

The standard quantum limit results from radiation pressure noise and photon shot noise. It is believed to be the fundamental limit for interferometric length measurements. Certain techniques may allow to elude this limit.

Projects:

Measurements at and below the quantum limit; transfer function of miniaturized monolithic pendulums as a response to radiation pressure variations; generation of squeezed light.
