eLISA and LISA Pathfinder

The restricted armlength and the unavoidable seismic noise limit the performance of a GW observatory on earth. A device in Space avoids these difficulties.

Projects:

Study of a laser-interferometric GW detector in Space (evolved Laser Interferometer Space Antenna = eLISA); three satellites in a distance of 1 Mio km. Preparation of a test mission (LISA Pathfinder).
