Gravitational wave activities in Germany are funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) through the Sonderforschungsbereich Transregio (SFB/TR 7) “Gravitational Wave Astronomy” comprising the Universities of Tübingen, Jena, and Hannover and the Max Planck Institutes for Gravitational Physics and Astrophysics.
