Prof. Dr. Jürgen Ehlers has died

Prof. Dr. Jürgen Ehlers died suddenly and unexpectedly, at the age of 78 on 20 May 2008. Ehlers was one of the most influential gravitational physics theorists in Europe. This outstanding scientist and teacher was active in research until his last day. He helped shape the Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics not only in scientific terms but also through his personality. With his respectful, courteous and attentive nature, he served as a model for all his colleagues. [more]
